Live Sport Streaming – 6 and 7 March 2021 with Liberty Shield VPN

Hello, hello, hello and welcome to your Liberty Shields Live Sports blog for this upcoming weekend.  Need a Live Sport Streaming VPN?

March is upon us and while the weather has yet to realise that winter is no more, nature is taking hold and there’s signs of life on trees and plants that have stood bare for the past few months. With continued good news regarding vaccines and the fight against Covid-19, the prospect of life returning to something more closely resembling normality seems more likely than at any point in the past 12 months since this virus landed on our shores. There’s talk of pints in pubs, meals in restaurants and fans in stadiums by the middle of the summer. All things previously taken for granted but now seeming like a real possibility. It’s something to lean into, something to look forward to. It’s what we’ve been waiting for. Fun Fact: Live Sport Streaming is one of the most searched terms on Google!

Our Live Sport VPN articles are brought to you in partnership with EPL Index, and Dave Hendrick – host of the Two Footed Podcast, offering FREE podcasts to football fans.

Anyway, the weekend is somehow here again so as usual we’ve put together a somewhat exhaustive list of the best live sport available to you this weekend so let’s just jump straight into.

Dortmund Bayern Munich Live Sport VPN IPTV

This weekend there’s loads of good football. As ever we’ve previewed the best Premier League games and that can be found right here, but it’s not all that’s available to you.

Starting with the Bundesliga with a game which is traditionally the biggest in German football but seems slightly less important this season as one of the participants is far removed from the title race. Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund is a 5:30pm kick-off at the Allianz Arena and while Dortmund, in 5th, aren’t challenging for the title this season they will still be desperate to win as they attempt to narrow the gap on 4th placed Eintracht Frankfurt. Powered by the attacking threats of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, Dortmund certainly have the capability of overcoming Bayern but the reigning German and European Champions will be in no mood to allow any further slip ups that could allow the surging RB Leipzig to overtake them in the standings.

The Premier League isn’t the only league with a big city Derby match this weekend. In La Liga Atletico Madrid welcome cross town rivals Real to the Wanda Metropolitano on Sun at 3:15pm, looking to extend the five point advantage they hold over Barcelona and Real. Atletico also hold a game in hand over their rivals, a home game against Athletic Bilbao to be played in midweek, and could be 11 points clear of Real by Wednesday night if they win both. Real won’t want to lose ground, especially as Zinedine Zidane’s future at the club already seems under threat and they come into the game in better form than their hosts, who have chosen this point in the season to have a wobble. You get the feeling Diego Simeone would be content with a draw in this match but Zidane will definitely want all three points.

If the Madrid derby succumbs to Simeone-ball and proves to be a dull affair, fear not. You can switch over at half time and catch the kickoff of the biggest game in Ligue 1 where 4th placed Monaco play host to league leaders Lille at 4:05pm. Lille are unbeaten in ten, with eight wins among those games and hold a two point advantage at the top of the table over PSG. They’ve built their title challenge on an excellent defense, led by the brilliant Sven Botman. Niko Kovac has worked wonders to turn things around at Monaco and his high-tempo, counter attacking football has propelled the team from the principality, who had suffered through two very disappointing seasons prior to his arrival, into a near certain Champions League position in his first season in charge.

Monday night the focus shifts to Serie A where table-toppers Inter Milan take on 4th placed Atalanta at 7:45pm. Inter, led by the brilliant strike tandem of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku, will want to maintain their slender advantage at the top of the league and know that any slip up will allow rivals AC Milan to pull level with them on points with both Derby matches already played for this season. Atalanta, who started the season in sparkling form before suffering a dip, have rediscovered their consistency after the distractions that plagued the first half of their season were exorcised in the January transfer window. These two sides have the best attacks in Serie A and while Inter are managed by the defence-first mind of Antonio Conte they’ve been playing open attacking football of late which should blend well with Atalanta’s brand of maverick football to create a fantastic game of football.

Rugby’s focus shifts back to domestic action this weekend, with the Premiership and Pro14 lining up some cracking action across the three days.

The action starts Friday night at 7.35pm with Munster taking on Connacht in the Pro14 in an all-Ireland tussle. Not to be outdone, Leicester vs London Irish (7.45pm) and Sale vs Newcastle (8.00pm) should both prove to be quality contests in the Premiership.

On Saturday there are three matches on in both, with Zebre vs Glasgow at 2pm followed by Ospreys vs Dragons and another all-Ireland clash between Ulster and Leinster both on at 7.35pm. The Premiership has Bath vs Exeter and Wasps vs Gloucester at 3pm while Worcester take on Bath at 5.15pm.

Just the one game on Sunday, but it should be a good one as Harlequins take on Northampton at 3pm.

As ever, the Pro14 games are on Premier Sports, while BT Sport is the home of the Gallagher Premiership.

Claressa Shields

After the spectacle of a Canelo Alvarez fight last weekend, this weekend is a bit more low-key for the Boxing world but there are still two fights worthy of a watch.

Friday night will see one of the greatest female fighters on the planet, Claressa Shields, put her titles and reputation on the line as she takes on the undefeated Marie Eve Dicaire, a world Champion in her own right. Having been a unified Champion at Super Middleweight, and then an undisputed Champion at Middleweight, Shields has gone against the grain by continuing to move down in weight as she seeks out better competition. Already the WBO and WBC Champion, she will take on the IBF Champion Dicaire with their three titles as well as the vacant WBA and The Ring titles also up for grabs. One woman will walk away with five belts and their unblemished record still in check.

Arnold Palmer Invitational

The Bay Hill Club and Lodge, in Florida, plays host to the 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational this week and with a total purse of $9,300,000 up for grabs it’s easy to understand why so many of the world’s top golfers are taking part. Rory McIlroy, winner of the 2018 event, leads the field and will hope to use this event to kickstart his season as he aims to rediscover the magic that saw him win four majors by the age of 25.

The snooker season is ramping up as players try to find their best form as we march towards the World Championship which begin in mid-April. This week it’s the Gibraltar Open, taking place in Milton Keynes, that takes focus with some of the world’s top players including Mark Selby and Judd Trump taking part. This season’s competition was most notable though for the return of a arguably the greatest player in history after a nine year retirement. Seven time World Champion Stephen Hendry returned to action, though it was short lived. He was beaten 4-1 by Matthew Selt in the first round but did show flashes of the old magic and will hopefully follow through on his plan to attempt to qualify for this years World Championship.

As tennis settles back into a more mundane schedule after the excitement of the Australian Open, and with the French Open still over two months away, it’s the more low-key ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament, previously known as the Rotterdam Open, that is the focus of the tennis world this week. There’s no Djokovic, Nadal or Federer but Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev are among the great young players taking part and looking to rack up tour points in the absence of their more esteemed contemporaries.

This weekend was meant to be part of a week off that the NBA had negotiated with the players when drawing up the schedule for this season. Instead, it’s the All Star Game that nobody wanted! It should still be a fun game with most of the NBA’s big stars scheduled to play and a dunk contest to take place at half time.

No matter what you’re sporting preferences are, there should be something on for you this weekend. Settle into your favourite armchair, switch on your Liberty Shield VPN and enjoy the action while keeping your data safe.
