LEIARS Leicester vs Arsenal stream Premier League VPN IPTV

Both teams suffered disappointing starts to the season but seem to have turned things around and will come into this game with confidence.

Leicester’s poor start was the more shocking of the two given the quality of their team, the settled nature of their squad and the high regard with which Brendan Rodgers is held. Back to back fifth placed finishes had many people suggesting that Leicester, and not Arsenal, were in fact part of the big six. This argument held no real substance but was a topic of conversation for the talking heads on Match of the Day, Sky Sports and Talksport. The Foxes will rightly point to some troubling injuries as reason for the poor form but most likely it was also something of a hangover from how last season ended. Jamie Vardy and Youri Tielemans are two players who didn’t allow their personal levels to drop and have begun the season playing very well, Vardy continues to defy his age and Tielemans is either playing for a big move away, or for a new contract. Either way, an inspired Youri Tielemans is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a joy to watch. Summer signings Boubakary Soumare and Patson Daka have begun to make a big impact with Daka scoring against Manchester United, before laying the matchwinner against Brentford on a plate for James Maddison. In between those two games he ran riot in Leicester’s Europa League win over Spartak Moscow, scoring four goals. Soumare has stepped in for Wilf Ndidi in the holding midfield role and proven to be a more than capable understudy. Leicester will be hoping that both keep up the good form for this weekend’s test against the visiting Gunners.

Arsenal lost their first three games and there were calls for Mikel Arteta’s head. Such is the fickle nature of football fandom that a mixed bag of an unbeaten run later, Arsenal fans are proclaiming him a genius. The Gunners are a Jekyll and Hyde type team who’s inconsistency isn’t just game to game, but half to half. Arsenal’s recent unbeaten run began with unconvincing wins over Norwich and Burnley before winning the North London Derby 3-1 and gaining lots of plaudits. A closer inspection of that game should an outstanding first forty minutes in which they blew Spurs away, but a worrying second half where they could easily have thrown their lead away. Kane missed a sitter, Ramsdale made a great save and Spurs should have had a penalty. If two of those three things go in Spurs favour, that game ends 3-3. They were outplayed by Brighton and Crystal Palace but managed to get draws, before a comfortable 3-1 win over Aston Villa that was in equal parts down to Arsenal playing well and Aston Villa being terrible. Arteta clearly has ideas about what he wants this team to be, and he’s been given substantial backing in the transfer market, but as yet there’s no definitive proof that he’ll be there for the long term.

⚽ Liverpool vs Brighton

LIVBRI Liverpool vs Brighton stream Premier League VPN IPTV

Two teams that have started the season really well will meet at Anfield at an interesting point in the season for both.

Liverpool are on fire at the minute, and demolished Manchester United 5-0 at Old Trafford without ever really getting out of second gear. That came off the back of a win away to Atletico Madrid, which came off the back of a 5-0 win away to Watford. With Mo Salah currently playing like the best player in the world, Naby Keita showing his best in midfield and Virgil Van Dijk working his way back to his very elite best. This Liverpool team are playing at a very high level and still have Fabinho and Thiago, two of the best midfielders in the world, to come back into the team. That has to be a concern for the rest of the league considering what Liverpool are already doing to team. Sadio Mane and Bobby Firmino are both back to good form after disappointing seasons last time around, and Trent Alexander-Arnold is continuing to redefine the right back position. Jurgen Klopp is at the helm of the best team in the country, his only concern will be whether or not the squad can cope with any more injury as they do lack quality depth in certain areas.

Graham Potter’s winning percentage at Brighton is not impressive. 29%. Some managers would be sacked for that, but not Potter. Because it doesn’t tell a fraction of the story of his time at the club. Potter took over from Chris Hughton and inherited a team that was largely a defensive team that was built to survive in the league. Potter is an ambitious man, and that translates into how he sets his team up. In his first season he changed the playing style entirely. He turned Brighton into a possession based team, one that set out to win games rather than simply not lose them. Results weren’t ideal but they secured survival in a manner more impressive than they had the previous season, playing a braver brand of football. Last season, Brighton performed like a top half team. They created the chances, had the type of xG and limited opponents to the low probability chances. The issue was, they just couldn’t score. Chances galore, but no goals. Brighton just couldn’t find the net consistently enough to reward themselves for their excellent play. This season they have reached fifth place, but the lack of goals is still prevalent. They haven’t won any of their last four games, but only lost the once. To Manchester City. Potter is a gaining a strong reputation and will no doubt be on the minds of any club, including those counted among the big six, when it comes time for them to change managers.

⚽ Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United

TOTMUN Spurs vs Man Utd stream Premier League VPN IPTV

Two managers who sit, not so much on hot seats but more so on top of flaming thrones that are covered in petrol, head into this game both needing wins to keep their job secure.

Nuno Espirito Santo build a strong reputation at Wolves but wasn’t anybody’s choice to be the new Spurs manager. After a near three month charade that saw Spurs come close to appointing at least two other managers, and approached five or six other managers who turned them down, they ended up with the Portuguese manager in what seemed to be a case of just appointing someone for the sake of appointing someone. Spurs began the season well but Harry Kane’s lack of interest in putting in anything resembling effort has torpedoed their form. Tottenham would be better off leaving Kane on the bench, but will Nuno have the courage to do that? He hasn’t been able to get much out of Dele Alli despite promising early signs, Giovani LoCelso doesn’t appear happy and even though Tanguy Ndombele has improved of late there is a suggestion that Daniel Levy is behind his inclusion in the team rather than it being the managers choice.

No manager in the league is closer to the exit than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After Manchester United’s defeat to Liverpool, and the embarrassing nature of it, the knives came out for the manager. Agents rushed to protect their players by leaking “information” to their friends in the media about the dysfunction at Manchester United. The Italian self promotors, sensing the opportunity for a grift, rushed to tell us that Antonio Conte was “ready to accept” a proposal from Manchester United that was never made. You have to have some sympathy for Ole, he’s clearly out of his depth. He’s not good enough to be Manchester United manager, but he stepped into the job when the club were in a bind and did an admirable job as caretaker manager. It should never have gone any further than that, but Rio Ferdinand and other former players created so much noise about Ole being “at the wheel” that the club were back into a corner. 30 months and £435million later, United are in worse condition that they were when he took over. Reports suggest that he has three games to save his job, and this is the first of those three. Whether the internal pressure is as intense as the external pressure remains to be seen. He definitely needs a result though, and more than that he needs a performance from his players who quit on him last Sunday.
